What we do

Canterbury Mini Skips hires out mini skip bins and removes rubbish across Christchurch and Canterbury. We supply 2.0m3, 3.5m3 and 6m3 steel mini skips, and take away general rubbish, garden and green waste, hard fill such as concrete, brick, soil and sand, non-hazardous bulk waste, and separated recycling.

These terms cover the use of this website. The terms for an actual job — price, drop and pick-up times, what the load may contain, and what happens if something changes — are agreed with you in writing when you book.

Quotes and booking

Nothing on this site is an offer or a price list. A price is only a price once we have quoted it for your job in writing. We quote by email: send the material, the suburb, roughly how much there is and, if you can, photographs.

Please make sure the load you describe is the load you intend to give us. Bin sizes, access and weight limits differ by material, and telling us the wrong material is the most common reason a bin is not accepted on delivery.

Waste we cannot take

Hazardous material — chemicals, paint and solvents, gas cylinders, batteries, asbestos, clinical or industrial waste — is not a skip-bin job and cannot travel in one of our bins. Tell us what you have found and we will point you at the right place rather than load it.

Recycling that is contaminated with food or liquid can be rejected at the processing facility. Keep it dry, loose and separate and it stays recycling.

Care of the bin

The bin is on loan for the length of the hire. Please keep it clear of anything that could damage it, do not burn anything in it, and do not overfill it past the rim — an overfilled bin cannot be lifted safely and the load may be refused.

Access to the drop and pick-up point is the customer’s responsibility. If a truck cannot reach the bin safely on the day, the visit has to be rescheduled.

Website content

The photographs on this site are of Canterbury Mini Skips’ own trucks, bins and work. The logo, the fleet and the yard photographs belong to the business and may not be reused commercially by anyone else without permission.

Text on this site is general information. Material acceptance, bin sizing and access all depend on the actual job, so treat the site as a starting point for a conversation rather than as a specification.

Liability and law

To the extent the law allows, Canterbury Mini Skips is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1986 or the Fair Trading Act.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any dispute is dealt with in New Zealand courts.
