Who we are

This website belongs to Canterbury Mini Skips, a family-run skip bin hire and waste removal business trading from 248A Main North Road, Redwood, Christchurch 8051, operating Canterbury wide. When you email us about a job we hold your email address and whatever details you send us — the material, the suburb, the size of the load and any photographs you attach — for as long as it takes to quote and carry out that work.

What this website does not do

There is no booking form, no login, no payment page and no newsletter on this site. Nothing you can do here creates an account or stores data in a database. If you want a skip, you email us and we reply.

This site does not set tracking cookies, run advertising pixels or build a behavioural profile. Fonts, images and the site itself are served from our own hosting.

The claim offer widget

This site carries a small widget that invites visitors to claim a free website build. That widget is provided by Byte Digital (bytedigital.co.nz), not by Canterbury Mini Skips: if you choose to enter your email address there, it is passed to Byte Digital and handled under their privacy policy. We do not see or store that address.

Google Maps

The contact page embeds a Google map so you can find the yard. Google may receive your IP address as part of serving that map, under Google’s own privacy terms. If you would rather not load it, use the plain address above.

How long we keep things

Job emails are kept while the job is live and for as long as we need them for accounting or to answer a later question about the same work. Once a job is finished and any records we are required to keep have been kept, we delete the photographs and detail we no longer need.

Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020

Under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email us and we will deal with the request.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner: 1-800-303-363 or privacy.org.nz.
